Orientation Update

Dear Parents,

We are back from seven enjoyable days of “Quarientation” in Jinshanling, Hebei province. Today we arrived at school, took care of some business, and then the much anticipated moment arrived: the students met and moved in with their host families. I have included a link below with a photo of all the kids waiting to meet their families and then one photo of each student with a host family member or members. (To Jacob’s parents—they slipped away before we were able to snap a photo, so I’ve included one of him during orientation—a family photo will follow!). As I write I imagine most are sitting at the dinner table enjoying their first of many home cooked Chinese meals.
